Beaverton Arts Mix! Art Show & Sale 

Tuesday, Sep. 6 – Tuesday, Oct. 18 | Presented by the City of Beaverton 

BAM! is an annual juried visual art exhibition and sale that began in 1983. This show has a storied history and has seen many transformations over the years. In that spirit, the show will be offered for the first time in hybrid format online and at the Reser Gallery and its auxiliary spaces this year. We invite you to experience a curated selection of 70 pieces at the gallery, including all award-winning artworks, and more than 220 works online. 

Be sure to join us on Thursday, Sep. 15 for an Artist Reception from 6-8 p.m. at The Reser, located at 12625 SW Crescent St.

Welcoming Week 

Friday, Sep. 9 to Sunday, Sep. 18 | Check website for event locations and times 

National Welcoming Week is an annual series of events designed to bring together immigrants, refugees, and U.S.-born residents to raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone. The week’s activities celebrate the contributions of newcomers and provide opportunities to build cross-cultural relationships and understanding. 

Beaverton Sun Run 

Saturday, Sep. 10 | 8:30 a.m.  

Start/Finish on SW Berthold Street near Evelyn M. Schiffler Memorial Park, continuing on SW Menlo Drive onto SW 5th Street with a turn-around near the Little People’s Park 

The Rotary Club of Beaverton sponsors this annual 5K walk/run event in partnership with local businesses. The Sun Run is a fun community event to support projects and programs of the Rotary Club of Beaverton and Beaverton Rotary Foundation. The event has over 200 runners and is certified by the U.S. Track and Field Association. Post-race category winner medals are awarded at a food and drink reception. Special finisher medallions are given to all participants. 

Beaverton Celebration Parade  

Saturday, Sep. 10 | Along Southwest 5th Street from Southwest Griffith Drive to Southwest Menlo Drive  

10 a.m. to Noon 

This year’s parade theme is” Spirit of Adventure.” Mayor Lacey Beaty will be grand marshal.   

Emergency Preparedness Fair  

Saturday, Oct. 8 | Beaverton City Library, 12375 SW 5th Street | 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Beaverton Half Marathon  

Sunday, Oct. 16, Beginning at Portland Running Company, 10029 SW Nimbus Ave. #100 | 8 a.m. to Noon  

Adventure through scenic roads and trails throughout Beaverton. Jersey Mike’s sub sandwiches, Rogue beer, live music, and a cool finisher medal await your return!
