Beaverton Police Department Welcomes Five New Cadets

The Beaverton Police Department welcomed five new cadets in May after they successfully completed the Cadet Academy, a condensed version of the State of Oregon Police Academy attended by police officers. These newly sworn-in cadets will also be representing Beaverton Police Department at this year’s Cadet Law Enforcement Challenge in August, where they will compete against many other cadets from law enforcement agencies across Oregon and Washington.

Cadets attend various events and activities within the community and work closely with officers to get hands-on experience in this exciting career.

If you know a young adult between the ages 15-20 who may be interested in becoming a Beaverton Police cadet, please visit for more information.

Beaverton Police cadets help at local events such as Picnic in the Park.
