The city’s Cultural Inclusion Program is once again sponsoring Welcoming Grants for community-driven projects that further welcoming and inclusion in Beaverton. The grants are designed to support community-led projects that increase opportunities for cross-cultural exchange, build Beaverton’s identity as a welcoming city, build relationships and understanding to unite residents, and foster pride in our diverse community.
Eligible applicants include community- or faith-based organizations, school groups, neighborhood associations and grassroots community groups. Grant projects must serve the Beaverton area and priority is given to proposals built through cross-cultural and cross-sector partnerships.
Grants are available in two categories:
- Welcoming Week: Support for events and activities that form part of our annual Beaverton Welcoming Week celebration, coming up Friday, Sep. 9 through Sunday, Sep. 18. Application deadline: Friday, May 6.
- Year-Round Welcoming: Support for stand-alone projects or programs that take place throughout the year or provide an ongoing resource to further welcoming. Deadline: Rolling.
