Here is your update on what has happened with the City of Beaverton this week, and a preview of what to look for in the next week to come.
Councilor Marc San Soucie was elected Council President for 2022. Per City Charter, this position is selected at the first meeting of each calendar year. https://bvtn.info/3pVKg4n
A special thanks to Councilor Laura Mitchell who was recognized at the meeting for her service as Council President for the past two years!
The City Council also passed a resolution declaring the vacancy and election for Council Position 3, which was most recently held by Councilor Mark Fagin who resigned from City Council effective Jan. 1. See the resolution at https://bvtn.info/3t26pA0.
The election to fill the vacant position will occur in May 2022. Election information will be available soon on the city’s website at https://www.BeavertonOregon.gov/257/Elections.
