Your Beaverton Update for October 28, 2021

Here is your update on what has happened with the City of Beaverton this week, and a preview of what to look for in the next week to come.

City Council

Council and THPRD Board held a special joint work session to discuss future collaboration, shared goals and desired outcomes. Topics included a downtown Beaverton parks and open space plan, ways to better connect people with nature, and childcare concepts.

Festival de Día de los Muertos – Saturday, November 6 from 2-9 p.m.

Join Mitotiliztli Tezkatlipoka and RISE in this space of ceremony, dance, and revolution in celebration of Día de los Muertos at Garden Home Recreation Center. It is a time to remember our loved ones while enjoying food, dance, traditions, and connection with the community. This event is made possible by the city’s year-round welcoming grants

Leaf Disposal Events – Through December 4

Leaves deposited in the street near the curb area can cause localized flooding when a catch basin becomes clogged. Residents are invited to drop off their leaves at multiple locations throughout the city.
