City Council

Mayor Beaty proclaimed October Filipino American History Month, National Arts & Humanities Month, and National Code Compliance Month. She also recognized Oct. 18-25, as Family Promise Week in Beaverton for the organization’s support of families experiencing homelessness.

Ideas presented for neighborhood housing option expansions with focus on flexibility, context, and community. With zoning changes, parking, tree planting, and more. Council discussion

Council reviewed spending options of $16.8 million in ARPA funds including affordable housing, childcare, rental and small business assistance, COVID-19 response, and equity. See presentation

Council discussed ARPA fund-supported projects up for state and fed funding like behavior health court, downtown transportation, and homeless shelter with health services. View work session
