Watch Hundreds of Original Videos on the Library’s YouTube Channel

Check out storytime, craft videos, and more!

The library’s YouTube channel has grown from 15 subscribers at the beginning of the pandemic to 715 subscribers as of mid-August. When COVID-19 hit and buildings were closed, library staff quickly went to work creating new and engaging content for our YouTube channel.

On our channel are many great videos for young children, including our two very popular weekly storytime videos, Story Drop with Miss Bethany on Thursdays and ¡Cuentos lanzados! on Saturdays. We have videos with songs and rhymes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. For older kids, there are how-to videos for craft activities, such as binary code bracelets and nature weavings.

Teachers and parents would be interested in our limited series for toddlers and preschoolers — a series on early math concepts called “That’s Math!” and a series on early reading practices called “The More We Get Together,”  as well as a Spanish version called  ¡Juntos aprendemos!

And it’s not just for kids! We also have a variety of videos for teens and adults, from poetry readings to book recommendations to how to make  artisan bread.
