The Downtown Loop offers opportunities to give input on changes to downtown streets

Planning for the Beaverton Downtown Loop Project is underway. The Loop project will develop an Urban Design and Transportation Plan for Southwest Watson Avenue and Southwest Hall Boulevard between Southwest Crescent Street to Southwest 5th Street. The city’s project team has analyzed the existing conditions of these two downtown streets for walking, biking, taking transit and driving, as well as stormwater, street lighting, public spaces, sidewalk uses, and downtown identity. Using this analysis, the team will develop potential design solutions for roadway changes.

A Community Advisory Committee, with representatives from downtown businesses, community organizations, property owners, residents, and city boards and commissions, meets regularly to give input and advise city staff.

Watch for announcements this summer for a virtual online open house and be sure to weigh in on proposed design solutions. To keep informed of project progress, as well as opportunities to get involved, please visit:
