The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan 2020 Annual Report details the city’s progress on implementing the plan during the past fiscal year. The report compiles work across eight city departments and gives a status update on the 129 indicators in the plan.
The Diversity Advisory Board (DAB) – the primary authors and accountability partners for the plan — performed their annual review of the staff report in late fall of last year. The DAB discussed their feedback and assigned progress ratings for each of the six priority areas in the report, which are: Public Engagement, City Practices, Public Safety, Housing & Livability, Economic Empowerment, and Community Building & Inclusion.
DAB leadership presented the report to City Council with a summary of board comments and recommendations in December. The report and the original plan it is based on is available on the Diversity Advisory Board website at www.BeavertonOregon.gov/DAB.
