The grant application for Social Services Funding Grants will be available on Monday, Feb. 1 and will be due Monday, Mar. 15. Grant recipients are selected through a competitive process and grants are open to nonprofit organizations for operations and activities in Beaverton from July 2021 through June 2022.
The Social Services Funding Committee will make recommendations to City Council, which has prioritized projects that address homelessness/housing, affordable afterschool and educational programming and health needs in the Beaverton community. For this round of applications, the City of Beaverton will award $275,000 in social services grants. Currently, funded organizations include those that provide food pantry services to the Beaverton community struggling with hunger and outreach services to people experiencing homelessness on our streets.
Informational sessions about the grant will be held in February.
