Water Line Project Near Five Oaks Middle School Now Complete

The city recently completed the construction of approximately 1,400 feet of 12-inch water pipes along the north edge of the Five Oaks Middle School to connect with the existing the water mains beneath Northwest 173rd Avenue and Northwest 167th Place.

CIP 4175 is one of many projects to transfer northwest Beaverton to full city water service as part of the Tualatin Valley Water District Water Service Area Withdrawal Program. The city also coordinated with Beaverton School District. Waterline work took place in June and July, with trees and shrubs planted in August. The project cost $449,499 to construct and was paid for through a Water Infrastructure Finance Innovation Act federal loan.
